| What's in the Works for 2010?
The new year brought plenty of rain to our Wildlife Garden and Schoolyard Habitat. That means lots of growth. Many of our plant species are blooming and doing well. We shall see how they endure the heat that bears down on us until September's cooler weather. Our last census showed that we have 152 plants representing 38 plant species and 22 plant families in our Wildlife Garden and Schoolyard Habitat. This is a great variety for study! As our trees and shrubs grow taller, we see a wider variety of animal species visiting the garden to get a bite to eat. We look forward to all the field investigations to come in our exciting outdoor classroom!
